I think I'm onto something!

I was talking to Fitzlippo and thought I'd take a nap but after our conversation I was jazzed up for the wedding so took to the drawing board. I'm very pleased with this. Oh yes. Might be the winner. Imagine it in fabric, dashed lines are beading, the cap sleeves would actually be transparent material with beading on it, similar to the top part of the Sue Wong bridesmaid dress. Tell me your thoughts!

  1. Does the bottom still include the satin-lace-net layering idea from your earlier brainstorming? I do think that if you incorporated the satin-lace-net theme from the bottom into similar fabrics/colors on the top, it won't seem overly busy. Also, it might be tricky to make sure the little bunch/flower thing on the side doesn't look weird with the beading on the upper part.

I guess ultimately, you've just got to find the right balance so the dress is not under- or overdone.

  2. I like the look of this. I agree with Fitz, that the flower could make the dress too busy with the beading, however if done right it would look really good.
Overall I like the way the dress looks, very old-school elegant, but also modern cool. What fabric are you going to use for the upper part of the skirt section?

  3. I definitely like it. But now its not strapless? I see you in strapless. You've got the chest to support it and beautiful collar bones you shouldn't hide. Other than that you got my vote.
